ASSESSMENT REVIEW BOARD VACANCY

The Assessment Review Board (ARB) hears assessment appeals from landowners/applicants about concerns of their assessment. This is a legislated process that follows Provincial Acts (i.e. Municipal Government Act, Assessment and Taxation Act, & Municipal Bylaws).

The function of the ARB can be found by reviewing Bylaw 681/10.

The Town of Elk Point has signed an agreement with the County of St. Paul, Town of St. Paul, and the Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay to form an Inter-municipal Assessment Review Board to hear any appeals in the region. Formal training is provided to members who volunteers to sit on the ARB.

If you are interested in applying for this exciting opportunity to serve your community, please complete the application form and submit it to the Chief Administrative Officer at [email protected]. If you have any questions, the CAO would be pleased to speak with you and can be reached at 780-724-3810 extension 5.
