SUBDIVISION & DEVELOPMENT APPEAL BOARD VACANCY

The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) hears all development and subdivision appeals from landowners. This is also a legislated process (Tribunal) that follows the Municipal Government Act, Subdivision & Development Regulation, and Municipal Bylaws.

The function of the SDAB can be found by reviewing Bylaw 786/18.

The Town of Elk Point has signed an agreement with the County of St. Paul, Town of St. Paul, and the Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay to form an Inter-municipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board to hear any appeals in the region. Formal training is provided to members who volunteers to sit on the SDAB.

Appeals to the SDAB can be submitted by landowners or adjacent affected landowners on a Development Application or Subdivision Application. The Development Application may be refused or approved with or without conditions by the Development Officer.

If you are interested in applying for this exciting opportunity to serve your community, please complete the application form and submit it to the Chief Administrative Officer at [email protected]. If you have any questions, the CAO would be pleased to speak with you and can be reached at 780-724-3810 extension 5.
